What is a PAS128 Survey Type D (Desktop)?

As defined in PAS128 it is to use desktop search techniques to identify existing utility data within the survey area.

Why would I consider requesting a PAS128 Survey Type D?

Survey Type D needs to be carried out prior to any site visits to complete Survey Type C, B and/or A.

Deliverables

The supplied utility survey pack includes a survey extents plan, a list of utility owners contacted, all correspondence received from utility owners and a compiled composite plan in a digital model format to clients’ specified requirements.

Quality Levels

Survey Type D is all office based with no requirement for a site visit, so the highest quality level any utility can be given is QL-D following PAS128.
