Junior CAD Draughtsperson

The Role:

LSTC has a great opportunity for someone interesting in pursuing a career in Computer Aided Design.  We are looking for a Junior CAD Draughtsperson, based from our Little Driffield Office, the role involves processing topographical data to produce a range of different drawings mainly for the Power Industry.

What you’ll be doing:

Working as part of a team you will using a number of Computer Aided Design software packages (mainly MicroStation and AutoCAD) to produce tie-in sketches, route plans, overhead line profiles as well as general drawing duties.

You will also undertake other office tasks to assist with the flow and completion of schemes.

The Person:

  • Enthusiastic with a flexible approach to work
  • A positive attitude, embracing new challenges
  • Good attention to detail skills
  • Prior knowledge/work experience of 2D or 3D CAD packages is desirable, but not essential, as full training will be given
  • Must be numerate and literate with at least 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) grades 9-4 (or A-C) including Mathematics and English
  • Good Communication Skills.

Training:

  • Relevant in-house training will be provided.
